Stefania Sandrelli was only fifteen
when she established herself as an international beauty in
the arthouse hit Divorce, Italian Style (1961). But by the
time of the equally successful import Il Conformista (1970),
Stefania demonstrated a bountiful nudity that proved she
wasn't like the other girls--including Sophia Loren,
frequently touted as her great rival for Italian hearts,
minds, and hard-ons. Stefania was less interested in working
outside of Italy, though.
